ok hello modders
I know u have heard about a program called Moto kit 1.06. Well its easier to use then p2k tools, p2kman and other programs to customize your phone. This program included some of the following change of your startup/shutdown screen including the sound, Custom Backup of your whole phone, custom flexs anyway you want it, unlocking hidden menus if any in your phone, deleting all that junk you dont want in your phone such as wallpapers ringtones that came with your phone that are locked, chaning your ringer volume higher then from the factory, these are all done without hacking hexing, seem editing or none off that stuff. I am including a download where i uploaded it I am not sure if this is allowed in the threads but if its not someone let me now.

Last thing when you install it it installs in chinese just press yes
and when it installs just go to the top off the menu when you open the program and go to the third menu on the top and then it will open a drop down menu then select the second bar and it will say englsih i will try to get a pic off it

This program makes changing all sorts of things on your phone so eashy I love this program. you don't have to seem edit, it creates scripts that do it for you.
A+ to the person that wrote this program.

yes it does most off all the seem stuff. In idea I think moto kit is a lot better then p2k man.

Actually, you can not compare these two programs since p2kman is not used for seem editing.

do not use the the first link I put up whcih is the yousendit.com

when get to the site scroll down and click on free after that another page will open scroll down again and thier should be a countdown off 60 seconds you will see the countdown

After the countdown you will see a big large icon saying Download: Motokit106.exe and then you should proceed to click on it

My thanks to djdownhill, got it. Does anyone know if it just plain doesn't work with a V265. I installed it and it will not connect to my phone, it 'Initializes' but never ever connects. I have MPT on this computer as well and it connects with no problems?

my v220 connects but you have 2 unplug it to get the menu's to come up. Then when u find which menu to use. I have to plug it back in to use it.

I followed the stupid instructions for that lame dysfunctional download site and it still did not work, you get what you expect from a place like that, NOTHING!!!

www.motomodders.net <-- T he place to get it, but it's a moot point anyhow, two computers I've installed it on and it won't connect to a V265 that connects to with MPT's with no problems. I just do it the PK way.

Dude,
Turn off the caps lock. It means your are "yelling".
And yes it will work for the v3 volume. Read the link to the thread MotoX posted.

Does anyone know how many MP3's I can add on my V265 phone? I am useing NINETOEZ guide (THANK YOU MR. TOEZ!!)(I knew a girl who has nine toes) for makeing my own ringtones. Each ring tone is about 25 seconds in length and about 95 kb in size. I have put on about 6 new ringtones without deleting the original ringtones that came with the phone.

How are you making the ringtones? I have been useing NINETOEZ guide to making Ringtones and they are working flawlessly.

Bop, I am using NineToez' guide to make them. For some reason when I upload them they don't play as a ringtone. They will play if I go to media.

Also, I misunderstood your 1st question. Not sure what the storage amount is on your phone, but the V262 has about 5MB total for wallpapers, ringtones etc.

Sorry Polekat mine downloaded to my ringtone list on my phone, then I was able to asign it to a contact. Maybe you should reach out to NINETOEZ I'm sure he would be able to help you out.

I have the Verizon V265. I have the drivers to connect it through a USB cable. I can use the phone as a modem, but whenever I try to use P2K or moto kit the phone goes from connected to not present. Any ideas?

I have the v265 and the moto kit wont connect.

I tried- Opening motokit, waiting 5 seconds and then connecting phone. someone told me to do this, but it didnt work.

Also, does it matter if the phone is connected? Right now VZW is porting my number but i have the phone in hand and moto kit installed, so does the phone have to be "connected"?

what I do is have the phone connected. open motokit, wait a few seconds., press explorer FIRST BIG BUTTON, and wait. it'll refresh, and do the WAITING bit while it reads the phone contents. if it doesn't work after the first push..I wait a second or 2 or 3, and repeat. it's just INITIALIZATION that has to be triggered. I doubt it initialized by itself.

When i try to hit the EXPLORER button, it says "Phone not connected" i would check the plug and it is securely in the slot.

Does Moto Phone Tools Kit have the Drivers XP Pro is looking for when I connect the phone?? I think the reason the phone isn't seen in my system because the XP Plug N Play won't allow the USB connect to work without having drivers installed

Am I right?? Anyone???

I have a V300 but the only software I have for it is the Modem

Does Moto Kit work over blue tooth?

If you have problems with it "functioning" or not...you should use the OTHER thread? or create your own.

huh? sorry if that was how you read it.

just thought keeping things streamlined would help in finding the right solutions in the right threads-when the times comes? For example some issues related to connection to motokit have been addressed (troubleshooting matters) (I myself have answered some therein for example) but now the same Q gets posed here so we repeat unnecessarily-capiche?

I have a v265, how come when i try and do a back up, everything says generic failure, file not exist, or failed????

Also the file explorer doesn't show anything on my phone either

Just one problem I find with all these P2K programs - they won't see the phone if you're using a serial cable and USB->serial converter.

I guess I'm just going to have to buy a USB cable if I want to do any serious modding, unless someone has a driver that'll get around the problem?

Hey all...

I've tried changing my startup sound to a 5 sec mp3 clip but it still the same original stock sound.

ur using moto kit i'm guessin well when u open up custom startup/shutdown u will see in the sound section use orginal sound well u have to uncheck that and check the box above it which is ur custom sound see if dat works
