I am looking for a goos cell phone. I was looking at the MPX300 and the imate JAM. Also the Razr. I need a phone that has very good reception and maybe sync with Outlook. The phones I have been looking at are:

Motorola Razr
Motorola MPX
Motorola A1000
Motorola A780
IMate JAM
SE P910a

Any feedback is appreciated, and anyone that has any for sale let me know. Thank you , Jason

Well, the Motorola MPx has run into a few "issues" and probably won't get released in North America and Europe (slow CPU, too little RAM, poor battery life).

Out of the rest, I'd personally pick the SE P910a. It runs the best smartphone operating system when it comes to telephony performance (Symbian) and is a lot more stylish looking than the other PDA-phones on your list. It can sync with both MS Outlook and Lotus Notes, via USB cradle or bluetooth.

It comes with a very good software bundle and is unique among PDA-phones in that the flip allows you to use it one-handed for making calls and writing texts. It takes expandable memory in the form of memory sticks and has an amazing 16 hour quoted talktime.

The only issue I have with the phone is the price. It's really expensive.

holy god if you're looking at buying those phones buy a samsung d500!!! this is the sickest phone ive seen in a long time. it murders the razr and has HELLA more capabilities (co worker has razr and the other one just got the d500 - no comparison). the only one that might challenges the d500 is the mpx300 . . . . . .

Are you joking? The d500 is so freaking ugly. The RAZR is much sharper. I was looking into all phones before I bought my RAZR. The RAZR has what I need and it is the hottest phone out there right now, w/o compare. The d500 is an ugly brick!

Not everyone buys a phone based on looks, believe it or not, some people actually put functionality first.

I have several friends who have Razr's and after people have seen my 902 and 7610, they don't give a second look at the moto

Personally, I prefer the D500 for looks. The RAZR looks pretty ugly when closed, IMO, and I don't like the fat bit at the bottom.

D500 also wins in terms of features and UI design too.
