i have a gps unit from belkin that i currently use with my laptop. i'm wondering how the BT is on the smt5600. i have MS streets and trips that comes free with the pda/smartphone version...no i've read you can upload the maps no problem....i'm wondering if i can upload the maps and inc. the BT GPS without any issues (as i do with my laptop).

basically...how limited is the BT on the phone?>

I plan on getting a BT GPS for my SMT5600.. just waiting on the sirf III. But from what I know it will depend on the software you have on your smartphone that is the limitation.

I've used my Dell GPS receiver with MS's Pocket Streets for Smartphone on my SMT with great success - automatically connected to the GPS from within the app. HAd the GPS in my coat pocket and the phone in my hand - worked like a champ.
