Ringer ID on TM150

I can't figure out how to assign ringer ID and photo ID pictures on the TM150.
Also, my AMR ringtones I've put on the TM150 are greyed out when I go to select them in "Assign Melody" under profiled. Please help...this is very different from my CDMA phones!

As I read somewhere in this forum, you need to consider:

1. The formation you encode it was right.

2. The size can't be bigger than about 40 or 50kb.

The Tm150 doesn't play AMR ringtones, just midi's and smaf's.
To set a photo for a specific person, they have to be in the phone's contact list, not on the SIM. From the phonebook, choose Options->Edit and then Options->Thumbnail. I recommed you pick small photos as they come up quicker.
I don't think you can set a personalized ringer for one person, just a group. In the phonebook, choose Options->Group->Group call then select the group, e.g. family, switch it to On and then you can assign the melody and vibration there.

Thanks, I figured it out...as you said, they have to be in the contact list, not on the SIM, so I selected copy all to handset. From there I could go to each one and under edit, select a picture and ringtone for each contact.

is there one option to copy all to sim or do you have to go to each one and select copy to sim

if you can copy all at once... how do you get tehre

I honestly don't know why Sharp made it so that your contact have to be on the handset ONLY to assign pic and ring ID's. I mean then whats the use of the SIM.

I think the capacity on SIM card is very limited. So for a user with couple hundred contacts want to put into that small SIM card is not possible. That's why most likely you need to put most of your data into the handset.

The SIM only stores names and numbers, not email addresses, thumbnails, or other info. So, the only way to have an enhanced phonebook is to have it on the phone.

I see. Couldn't they have us store the ID photo/ringer on the SD card and relate that to the contacts stored on the SIM card? I guess its not efficient that way, which makes sense. Just a little quirk I have with the phone, no biggie. I still love my TM150
