About Sharp TM-150 Active Flip.

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Hi Folks,

I got my TM-150 yesterday and found out I do have active flip function available.

But the active flip setting is different from what PDXMatt posted. Maybe I have a different version of firmware to what PDXMatt has.

It's under:

Settings --> Connectivity --> Call settings

Then I got:

1. --> Flip open --> Incoming call --> Answer / No action
2.
--> Flip close --> Incoming call --> Reject / Busy / No action
--> Flip close --> During call --> Terminate / No action

It's so great for the function-setting flexability!

I would like to share photos of the menu with HoFo members here if anybody interested. However, I have no idea how to put the image on. Please give me some instructions about this and I'll put those photos on. Thanks

Updated:

Here are some photos:

1. Setting menu with "flip open" and "flip close" option.

2. 1st layer sub-menu of flip open option.

3. 2nd layer sub-menu of flip open option.

4. 1st layer sub-menu of flip close option.

5. 2nd layer sub-menu of flip close option, "Incoming call".

6. 2nd layer sub-menu of flip close option, "During call".

take the images and upload them to an album at www.photobucket.com. Then copy and paste the tag under the image (the one that has into your reply and the image will appear in your post

Firstly, congrats on your purchase. Second, I got mine a week ago, those are the EXACT same settings I have.

Well, according to the description and photo of PDXMatt's thread here:

http://www.howardforums.com/showthr...threadid=557177

it's looks quite different from what we get.

And PDXMatt's version is again different from the first batch of TM-150.

Does this mean there are 3 different firmware versions available now? Unlike SE's phone, I have no idea how to check firmware version of Sharp's phone. Anybody here knows?

Hrmmm, I'm not sure how to check versions. But all I know is I have the one you have, so were both in the same boat. Maybe it has something to do with the manufacturing date? Since you said you bought yours yesterday and I got mine last week from tmobiles site.

Those are the exact same settings i had when i owned my beloved TM200, which i miss dearly and will be getting it soon again even if it still has the speakerphone echo when the other party talks " they hear the echo " NOT me.

Sorry, correction, i mistakingly confused it with flip close, TM200 doesn't support active flip.

You can find the SW version of the phone and if it is a newer version, it probably will support active flip.

My TM150 has active flip, older versions don't.

To find the SW version, type in: *325266*8371#

My phone was made on 9/20/2004 and it shows my SW version. I made a post about it already as well.

i also have active flip

Well I'm guessing the SW version that was made in September was the more recent version of software that included the active flip.

If you want active flip and you dont have it, get the software upgraded.

Get the software upgrade from T-Mobile???
Can I upgrade using my SD mem. card

I pretty much doubt about it.
It's a firmware, not just a picture/video/ringtone.
It will be much more pratical to call T-Mobile or Audiovox for this firmware upgrading thing.

For [IFC]Area51,
I think the SW version you posted is from TM-200?
Your SW version is very different from others

heh, believe me, I've tried it and it seems that no one wants to help out people who own this phone. I've gone to both my t-mobile dealer and have spoken to sharp representatives and they don't help you for crap

It's definately not about I am not believe you.

1. As mentioned somewhere either in this forum or T-Mobile forum before, this phone's customer care is provided by Audovox, not Sharp. (You can search your manual and find out Audovox did declare about the customer care providing.) Therefore, if you didn't try Audiovox, maybe you can try it. (And by the way, in my own case, I don't like to go the t-mobile authorized dealer way. I found out they are actually not a real "pure" official T-Mo physical store. Even on T-Mo's systems show out that they are authorized store, they told me they are only a store. That's why if I buy the plan/phone form T-Mo's website, I can't do change or some other service in the store.)

2. For something a little bit special (not very common, not tons of people doing it), you always need put more effort. There are tons of CSR in T-Mobile and maybe in Sharp also. And in T-Mo, they work 24hr. You could try couple times more any time when you are free. You might have a chance to get a very nice CSR wiling to go all the way to help you out. At least, you ask/give T-Mo feedback about this problem/request is getting more notice from customer side. Of course, this kind of work must under one situation --- you really mind and want have this done, you don't want to give it up. About one and half years ago, I myself called about 10 times for getting my previous phone unlocked within the 90 days limit for an Asia trip.

3. Or, you can always wait a little bit, and sometimes, the solution will come out.

Just some of my thoughts, wish they can help you get it done.
