MM 7400 and bit pim question (yet another)

When i try to chose in the settings which port Bit Pim should use, it has trouble refreshing the ports when the phone is connected to the computer. It just kind of freezes and does nothing. Here is the tricky part. As it is refreshing, if i remove the cable from the phone it shows me all the USB ports EVEN the port that the phone uses, but it shows it under the "unavailable ports" or some crap like that. Any one have any solution to this?
