Any problems with firmware upgrade of S55

I want to upgrade my S55 to the latest f/w but my confidence is shaken when the online 'how to' is different from the program 'how to' (S55_910101_update.exe). Online says to connect phone to PC then switch off/on while the program say switch off/on then connect.
So, any known issues?
