While phone on take out sim card half way and reinstall device will restart and you "SHOULD" have a "G" ... I'm just passing on details fromt he hiptop.com forums so if it messes up your phone not my fault but everyone over there is having good stuff happening not me =

you could probably do this instead.

while sk2 is on disable your wireless then restart it. this will read your sim card just as if you pulled it out and put it back in but probbaly much safer.

That some times doesn;t work...the second method i mean, I find I have to leave the Wireless fof for a few min or else it doesn;t properly cycle

Here's another trick that works sometimes when your SK is stuck in the "dot dance":

Call your Sidekick's phone number from another phone. For instance, I would call the SK from my Nextel phone. Sometimes, that incoming call will cause the SK to "snap out of it" and finish connecting to the data network. You don't even have to answer the call, just let the phone ring 2-3 times, then hang up.
