Copy of sent item in inbox

I've got a problem that's driving me crazy because I can't figure it out. Whenever I send an email message, either from my 7520 or my desktop Outlook, a copy of the sent item shows up in my blackberry inbox. I'm sure there's a setting to diasble but I can't find it anywhere. I'm running BES 4.0 and can't find anything in there either.
Any insight is appreciated.

Go to the Desktop Manager. Click on Redirector Settings. Click on the Advanced tab. In the area marked Folder Redirection, click the Selected Folders button and then select the folders you want to send to the BB and make sure "Sent Items" is not one of them.

This is a new feature of 4.0 that defaults to sending both your inbox and sent items to the BlackBerry.
You will need to do as map suggested, but you will probably not find that the sent items folder is checked. In the Advanced tab, it will have 2 radio buttons near the bottom, one will be "forward inbox and sent items" and the other will be "forward selected folders". You will want to choose "forward selected folders" and click the selected folders button and only check off the Inbox.
Not sure why they went with just the two options and not a third of just "forward the Inbox", and have that as a default.

This can actually also be done on the BlackBerry. If you go into your message box, click the thumbwheel and choose options, then Email options, it will bring you up to all your redirector settings (just like on your desktop). From here, click the thumbwheel and choose folder redirection. This will allow you to select which folders are and are not sent to the BlackBerry.

Anyone know of a way to hide items sent from the handled from the messages list? Ideally you should be able to hide them just like you can hide filed messages since they only add clutter to the list of inbound items. I'm sure part of the reasoning was to be able to confirm what has been sent (since status is indicated next to the message) but once items get "checked" off, there should be a way to hide them...

Permanently, no way to hide them unless you manually file them to a sent items subfolder. However, temporarily you can hold the alt key (half moon) and press the "I" key.
