Buying a Sidekick II on eBay...

I've been thinking about buying a used SideKick II as I'm not in a good enough financial position to buy it new, but I also need a new phone. Of course I looked on eBay, and this auction caught my attention:

Has anyone bought their Sidekick II through an auction like this? Or know anyone that has? I don't mind the 1 year contract at all, and the $30 phone plan + the $20 data plan is exactly what I wanted.

Any info would be appreciated!

this auction isn't for a used phone, but for a new phone with activation.

if you're planning on signing a contract, why not just go directly with amazon? it seems a lot less shady than some person on ebay, in my opinion.

And either way, the offer won't work. It says in the description that the offer ends on the 9th this month.

I'd double check Amazon to make sure that their rebates aren't expired too.
