Hey guys, sorry to bore you with this post but I'm sure someone that knows their TMO stuff will make short work of this question. I have Nextel for voice and TMO for sidekickII data right now. I am finishing up one more year of college before taking over the family business and nextel is just too expensive when not enough people that i keep in touch with down here use it.

So anyway, to make a long story short, i wanted to know if i add voice to my sidekick plan can i switch the sim out to a different phone if i don't feel like using the sidekick all the time. Say for example i buy a moto a630 and want to use that will i be able to just pop the sim out of the sidekick and everything work properly? I'm not familiar with TMO's phones aside from the sidekick and i don't know how the contacts and such transfer. Thanks I appreciate it.

EDIT: oh and also, if i bought another data assistant i.e. a blackberry of treo, would i be able to use all the data services because I have the sidekick plan, or do they require a different data service? Thanks.

You can swap the sim card out & put it into a regular phone but if at some point ur SK data starts doing something funny (chances of that happening are about 5%) call tech support to get it corrected

As for the data plan question (good question it is):
You can use the SK data feature ONLY for Sidekicks. In fact Treos and Blackberries each use different data features that are only compatible with their own devices. So to answer your question; no u can't

Never used one, however, in theory, that should be okay. I don't see why not. I was just reading you first post again and I noticed that you mentioned you intend to use your SK for business purposes. Hmm Check ur PM.
