T637 with holder HCH33 & cable HCH12 for external antenna...?

Howdy, I am trying to get an external antenna into my T637 using car holder HCH33 with cable HCH12.
Everything I looked at said this was possible but the cable just won't fit into the back of the phone.
Some pictures I see of the HCH12 have a small adapter of some sort but mine didn't come with one.
Does anyone have any experience with this?
