Call forwarding issue....

Hey, I just used my call forwarding for the first time today (on my 7520), and it worked fine. However, now that I don't want it on anymore it doesn't seem to send calls to voicemail at all, even after 10 rings or more. I have put it back to what I though were the original settings: phone-->options-->call forwarding--> selected "forward all calls" and instead of having a number there it just says "Do Not Forward". It seems like this should be right, but when I try and call my own phone voicemail never picks up at all. Anyone have any ideas why that might be? Thanks in advance....

Well, I tried calling my voicemail from my 7520, and got a System Busy 22 error. WTF??!! I called Nextel, and they refreshed my services and I power cycled the phone and it seems to be working fine now. Strange.

i know that for cingular it forwards to a certain number for voicemail. you may have cleared that number out when you first started using call forwarding. and when you took out the number you were forwarding to you left the phone with no information to send the caller to your voicemail.
could be what happened.

Now that I look at the settings (with everything working properly), this is exactly what happened. I was wondering what the other number was when I went in to set up call forwarding--and thats what it was. Thanks.

I did the exact same thing a long time ago with my i95. I think it was the only time I ever forwarded calls and messed it up afterward. I have yet to do it again. I had to call and have Nextel tell me the number to put in there so it would go to voicemail again much like you had to do.
I'd ask you for that number again but I think it is area specific...?
