How do I setup AOL email on the 7100t

You can use BWC (Blackberry Web Client) for AOL email.

I tried that but there's an issue. I remember with the Sidekick, whatever I did with my device took effect on the actual service, exmample, deleting emails, looking at past emails. From what I understood by speaking to customer care, my emails would not be deleted from the AOL server when I delete them from my 7100t. This would be confusing and time consuming if I went back onto my computer and tried to figure out which emails I responded to.

This is correct--any emails you delete on your handheld will NOT be deleted from the AOL server/inbox. The bb was specifically designed to be used on an exchange server with a BES--BWC is only around for those of us that aren't on a BES/Exchange server--and therefore BWC offers slightly limited capabilities.
To solve the problem about what emails you responded to, there are a couple things you can do. 1. you can use an app called PDUtils that can be download from blackberryforums.com (when they're back up), this can be found in the aftermarket software forum, the thread is a sticky about free power tools for the bb. PDUtils allows you to choose a "reply to" address for every outgoing message--it helps to keep your mail on any one subject coming back to the same inbox all the time. The other option is to have bwc forward sent messages to your aol account.
Hope this helps.

Can anyone post the settings for aol mail? I am struggling with this.

There are no settings. Just enter the AOL address and password in the web client and it will do the rest for you.

Its easy as falling of a log. Simply enter you AOL email address in your BWC client page/site. Within 15 minutes, no longer, all of your AOL mail will be pushed to your BB.
Been using my 7520 to do this for a while now and not even a single problem. Set up BWC to auto delete messages after so many days. Your messages are always there in AOL if you need them.
