I have to say, that when i bought a 211b 3 or 4 years ago, i really liked the quality of kyocera phones. I hated Virgin mobile so i switched to verizon and got a 2325, another great phone! Then i wanted someting with more features then the 2325(it kinda got outdated) so i got a slider which is what i have today! I love my slider, it works great and haven't failed me yet, nor any of my other kyocera phones. i say we give kyocera a pat on the back.

Does kyocera have any partnership with lg?????I just always wondered that???

nope THANK GOD no partnership with LG. LG phones are almost as bad as motorola

Why is the slider always given a bad rap? I have had mine for a while and the RF seems to me to be as good or better than my vx6000, yet people say it sucks.

Right now "I am just dragging my feet till a EVDO phone I like comes out.

How has your RF experience been with your slider, holding calls etc.....?

Never droped a call once in my time in haveing it!

I agree it seems to me that it has held calls very well. However, many/most people think the RF sucks. The phone is very basic but does the job.......

That would be for the most part the people on the verizon forum. I don't know why, but they all hate the slider! Most of the people who hate it are peole who own LGs(excludeing you) Thats mainly because the slider's Signal meter usually dosent show as good of a signal than say the 4500s meter and people think that it's getting a lower RF when it's really not. REMEMBER, you can't judge a book by it's cover!

I still have both my old slider phones. I have the KX2 or Koi now. I love both. I can't wait intill the Remix gets out. Im getting it asap when it does.

I agree, most people don't realize that most/all Kyocera phones have a very conservative meter. However, I can consistently place calls with no reading on the meter, unlike other phones when there is no reading it is usually a no go!

There are certainly phones with better features and displays out there, but as I said a pretty good basic phone.....

I have also noticed the bias on the Verizon forum......

when i first had my k7 rave it did the same thing it would show that it didnt have a signal on the meter so i hated it but then i noticed that when i placed a call with it and it had no signal it came in as good as when it had a full signal so i stopped paying attention to it and when i got my slider it was the same thing so now i dont even look at the meter cause it really doesnt matter

The screen on the se47 is great! The VX6000's screen isn't all that great though.(no offence) My friend has one and theirs like somewhat of a distortion on it. Almost like lines going accross it or something.

I have not noticed that on the vx 6000. Also, it has 262k color display versus 65k on the slider. The vx7000 and 8000 have better displays than the 6000, but still it is not bad.

I like my se47, although you have to be careful not to scratch the display, unless you put a screen protector as I did from a PDA on there.

Still, I have found it works great on the Verizon network, even though most people slam it as a poor RF performer.....

LG and Kyocera do in fact have a partnership. I opened up my old LG-VX4400B the other day, there's a little white box on the top, it has the kyocera "K" symbol, and says AOBY......

Wirelessly posted (SE47/1.0.21 UP.Browser/4.1.26l UP.Link/5.1.1)

So kyocera and lg DO have partnership. Very interesting
