Unlock a1000, help....

Hi, any one, I just got a1000, and I purchased a remote unlock code from the internet. But I can not find a place to input the code. Unlike the other moto phones when you input other network's sim card it will ask you for a subsidy code, but the a1000 will go straight the main screen even you have a differ sim card, and I can't find anywhere in the menu or setting menu to input the code. please help, thanks.
