Voice Mail Notification

I am on Verizon and have an LG VX6100 phone. My office is located in an area where I don't have signal all the time, there fore I get voice mail from time to time. I now have my phone set to a ringer type alert but it seems to only ring one time and if I miss that ring, it can be several hours unti I discover I have voice mail. Am I missing something in the setup to have it ring at intervals to alert me to voicemail or is it only capable of one ring. Thanks for any help. 1943

I had the same thing happen with my 6000. My phone would never ring but then all of a sudden I'd get a voice mail notification. SOmetimes it wouldnt be until at least 30 minutes later. I think it had to do with the amount of reception the 6000 picked up.

I havent had any problems since I purchased the 8000. I can now make and receive calls in areas where I couldnt do so before.

I work in a University deep inside a Library as a computer networking specialist and lab manager. There are some places I cannot get a signal on the phone. The 6100 has been the best of the best I have tried so far but even it sometimes can't get a signal. Sometimes it is hours before I get my notification ( hope it will be better now that I have set a ringtone as a notification instead of the beeps, what a joke) But it only rings onetime and then nothing. I need it to be a reminder I have mail. Oh well maybe someone will know about this. 1943
