I have a slider with metro pcs. Could you technically backup your phone using kpst, call up virgin mobile and tell them you want to activate a new phone. Then provide them with the neccessary info fron your phone. Could you use any esn? Or would you have to have an esn from their network. Further, can the same esn be used by two carriers at the same time just changing the nam info from one to the other, or would you have to randomize the esn to use the other carrier.

In short I'm trying to see if I can use the same phone between metro and virgin. I travel to another state that doesnt have metro and therefore need a prepaid service and phone. Why bother to buy a virgin slider when I have one right here that I could possibly use? Any thoughts?

Nevermind, I got ballsy and tried to activate my metro phone through virgin on their website. You need a valid virgin ESN. I guess one could go to a store that sells virgin and jot one down from a the back of a box. mwahaha!

Then it would be too bad for the poor soul who buys that phone. Now I'm curious if the ESN's are visible from outside the box. Welp, off to best buy! See ya shortly.

I also use MetroPCS in the Atlanta area and use Virgin when I travel. I hate carrying around two phones also..
