Ngage :::::: Are you really bored ??????

Hey

Ngage is a cool gaming device. I think Nokia has stopped the production of the fone also. There are many people in this forum who is having an Ngage. There are many questions in my mind, just wanted to ask you regarding this.

Many of my friends here in mumbai.......some of them howardforums member is selling his ngage fone. The reason asked is answered like they say.... they are bored with the ngage, some say no new games made, some say its big to carry, some say they wanna buy another device.

So my question is

Is Ngage worth selling

even if its not available in the market and i think if nokia has stopped the production than probably new fones will not be available.

Are you going to sell your fone. Ngage is a gaming, video, audio mp3, radio, internet and voice calling device. With so many function will you sell your fone.

Many of the people may have planned to sell his ngage. Many may have already sold. Many will not sell it and make ngage as a backup fone.

i am talking abt ngage classic version.

no its not worth selling imo...u cant sell it for tooo much, and it's worth more than what it does imo...

I know its not worth selling. Because even if u dont have money for getting a new fone. After selling ngage you wont get that much for getting a new fone. Like if u want a 6600. If you are selling ur ngage. for ngage u can get 120 to 150 dollars maximum and 6600 is for 270 USD. so you probably have to pay more and get less functions (ngage have stereo mp3, ngage games, radio, usb so no bluetooth required )

My general rule of thumb is that used electronics (1yr old) are worth 50% of cost new, previous genration is worth 50% of current current generation.

At the new 100USD price point, this puts the previous N-Gage used price at 25USD.

Definitely worth keeping or buying but, not selling.

mumbaifans... i sure get u thinkin,dont i? Anyways, im planning to sell my ngage too.Agreed it does too many things to sell it for the price its going for..... But its getting too unconvinient taking it around along with my pda.Not to forget the sneers i get from stoopid chicks when i talk on it...... Im considering makin a switch to the SE world.. Probably k700i... Small n more importantly within my budget

@angel_wing0 I hope i dont sound like im bragging but my pda does stereo.... The ngage isnt compatible with it for bluetooth surfing... The k700i is... Hence the blasphemous decision to move to go SE. Size does matter too,afterall

you pda may be not supporting ngage. But Ngage supports bluetooth surfing. As its almost 6 months , i am using this bluetooth surfing.

If you really is selling ur ngage than dont get SE. SE is definetely a downgrade. Dont do so. Get a nokia.

I am using my ngage as a modem and use internet on my PC via bluetooth technology. It just cost me 4.5 dollars a month with unlimited data transfer.

@mumbaifans and angel_wing0..... I got my pda to get online using the ngage as a bt modem..... The problem apparently was not with the pda nor the ngage.... It was my network provider Orange. I put in my friend's Airtel simcard in my ngage, n the pda flew Signed up for Airtel 199 bucks/month rightaway. BTW, saw the k700i in a store today. Sexy little fone,i must say. Got a great deal for my ngage( $160) n the k700i for a reasonable $274....... I'll think over it.. Maybe buy it next week

btw, the k700i is a sexy-looking phone with a gr8 screen and gr8 BT implementation. But these are the phones only pros. The rest is full of cons. As someone who's used the phone, i'm telling u that u'll get bored of it after the first month of usage.

Nope, definitely not. I have two phones and the N-Gage keeps my company when I use it to listen to music on the way to work. If I'm not in the mood to take the N-Gage, I take the Moto V525 as it is a flip and not nearly as large.

abhi.... Pls tell me the cons!! Everyone i ask just tells me "its not that good"..... But what actually is not good about it? Lets see... I'll think about the 3230(18k) but there's a strong chance i might get lynched by my own parents if i ask for the 3230

Just confirm whether 3230 has bluetooth modem or not. Because i am not sure if it have a bluetooth or gprs modem.

k700i has only 40 mb of space for mp3/pics..rf not good, battery life lousy...nuff said

Ummm... So its rf,battery thats the dampners? Maybe then im not so tempted by it...... I dont wanna quit s60 anyways... Just wanted a small,light fone that plays well with my T5.

the rf is not good...the battery is not good because of the screen (the screen is VERY nice)

The contacts database is also VERY messed up in the K700i.
I also found the cam quality and interface to be very bad.
Plus, the interface is same as the age old SE phones and its gotten kinda boring. Correct me if im wrong, but i think the phone also does not support .wav extension. I tried to install mortein.wav (im sure u've hrd this file twisted_mind ) and it couldnt play the file, but when i converted it to mp3 and saved it in the phone, it played just fine.
