That's very interesting as I thought the only difference was in the firmware. Is the band used not a hardware issue?
I just got my TmobileUK-branded P900 flashed as a P910a, does this mean the 900MHz used by some networks here has been altered to 850MHz?
Great news for me, bad news for my Dad (who owns this handset that I've been helping him with). I'm off to FL as soon as I get my cash together and sort out the legal paperwork, 850MHz would be great for me but bad for my Dad as his network uses 900MHz (vodaphone). Although nowadays they use 1800MHz as well, he would have less covereage if this is the case.
Any feedback on this would be appreciated as it's not something I can easily test for myself. (unless it's covered in the service menus....)

checked my service menu and under configuration the Bands listed are 900, 1800 and 1900 MHz so definately not a firmware issue (although obviously the P910a firmware is reporting this hardware to me). I should note that the service menu does include the keypad test, which understandably does nothing on my P900 hardware.

Ok, weird. Maybe someone can shed light on this.
I checked the CDA for my P910a flashed P900 on SEUS and it came back as not recognised.
Can someone confirm whether CDA162003/5 is P900 or P910?
The handset is obvioulsy flashed with P910a as that what it says it is. Entering the CDA on the P900 SEUS pages comes back ok.
From this I think it's safe to say that my handset would be turned back into a P900 if I connect to SEUS.

Ok, found this thread (albeit rather a long one)
