i have all my contacts on a simcard from my nextel i860. i read that you can stick your old simcard into the sidekick2 and import them over. so i stuck that sim in the sidekick and then it asked for a special code. i tried entering my sim pin code but it didnt work. any ideas?

I believe that the code requested is a subsidy unlock code, the code will let you use any [gsm] sim.

even with the code, that may not work, as Nextel is iDen and T-Mobile is GSM... i don't know for sure, just cautioning you.

It will not work since one is Iden and the other is GSM. They are two different technologies all together, you could just try to load your contacts to your computer and then maybe transfer that way?

yeah i got em saved to the computer. but i figured it wouldnt work, so i sat and typed each friggin name/number in, one by one. wasnt too bad since i only had half the phone book full on my i860, around 300numbers or so. and the sk2 holds 1000 i think which is great. but then again, do i even know 1000 people that i want to talk to. LOL

hey I have a Q for you. I have a i860 nextel right now and have had nextel for so many years. I am finaly tired of the poor internet so I am looking at getting the sk2. Do you like it more then the 860 and do you run into the slow server problems like nextel has?

personally i really liked the i860. the camera was pretty **** good, better than the one on the sidekick2. but because the service in my area for nextel was extremely horrible i had no choice but to switch to another company that had better service, and i figured i would go with the sidekick2. and tmobile's service is pretty good around here. any other ?'s u wanna ask email me. my email is the same name as on here but @hotmail.com
