Does anyone know if you can update the firmware for the s66 using bluetooth, or do I have to buy a data cable?
Also, has anyone tried to sync the phone to a MAC using Virtual PC and the Mobile Phone Manager software?
Thank you in advance,
Kyle

I've read a few reviews that say the phone will connect to a Mac with bluetooth perfectly, so I'd assume it can connect to VPC, too. AFAIK, you can only update the software with a serial-to-USB or USB-to-serial cable, a regular USB cable isn't supported, but I don't know if it will work. Try it out.

You need the data cable to do all and any tweaking.
I recommend the Siemens brand DCA-510 and not an aftermarket product. They are not expensive, got mine for $30 including shipping.
*Avoid SiemensUSA website recommendations ( absolutely sh*te website btw if you want to see what Siemens is really about go to the International/ English site) and boycott Lets Talk from Dallas to save yourself a headache. I can recommend another retailer if need be.

Don't know about the Apple compatibility. The MPM has been real flakey on my machine running XP. I'll have it installed for a few days, using it on and off, and then all of a sudden my wirelessg usb adapter will take a crap on me. I haven't been able to figure out why. I think it has to do with the sync programme, which I've never even used, but after I uninstall the MPM and whatnot I'm all good again.
So judging on my experience how the MPM works with XP, I'm going to have to say the MPM won't be very reliable using Virtual PC. But hey it may work better. Who knows, Siemens isn't really known for its OS' or software, from what I've heard/experienced.
