I have an Audiovox 5600 - I love it, but last night the phone went into flight mode and I can't get it to get out of it. turning flight mode on and off doesn't do anything, and power-cycling doesn't help. I can't make/receive any calls! Does anyone have any ideas?

I need to unlock a Cingular locked SMT 5600. The way I understand it, I need to use a Cingular SIM (from a friend) to boot up the phone. Then I need to put it into flight mode. Then, I can follow the online procedure I've been seeing around here for unlocking.
My question is how do you put the phone into flight mode? I haven't even seen what the menu system looks like yet, since I haven't been able to power up yet. Thanks for the help.

Why did you post this in this old thread? Tap the power button and choose Flight Mode from the menu that appears.

There's nothing you can do at this point. This is a result of a defect in which all the Root Certificates get deleted on the phone. The only option is a warranty replacement. Information provided from a friend that's exchanged 3 phones for this issue.
