i am considering either the 910a or 910i to use for t-mobile, but i read elsewhere in this forum that t-mobile uses the 900 frequency, and the 910a is set for 850. has anyone had experience using one of these phones with t-mobile, or any advice?

T-Mobile USA uses *only* the 1900Mhz band officially. Noone in the US uses the 900Mhz band because of other non-carrier related conflicts so either would work with T-Mobile USA today. If they decide however to expand their spectrum coverage or their roaming agreements int the US, it *will* be on the 850Mhz band and not on the 900Mhz band. Bottom line is, it'll make no difference now but getting the P910a might prove more farsighted for a US user than the P910i.
On the other hand, if you travel the world a lot, you are giving up the 900Mhz capabilities of the P910i. this might or might not matter if or whether you travel to places where that matters. I travel to places where there is a lot of 900Mhz towers but fewer 1800Mhz ones and it sucks. I have to use my old (but trusty) T39m then.

I used my P910i on T-Mobile when I was in Miami and Tampa and it worked flawlessly.
The only gripe I have is with the T-Mobile GPRS lock up on the Pay as you go plan.
I tried to use Opera and my IM programs to no avail. When I called their customer service the lady was kinda rude even. I asked what I could do to get internet access, she kept saying nothing, nothing, no, no, no.........
Sounded like that commercial on TV......
Anyways the phone still rocks and works in the US.
If anybody knows a by-pass to get full internet access on the T-Mobile Pay as you Go GPRS I'm all ears since I am heading back to Atlanta next week.
