I have seen a few made by companies such as Antenna Specialist (think that's what they're called), which cost close to US$1000 for the repeater and inside/outside antenna setup...

A lot of you must be in the same situation: phone works fine just outside of your house, but not when you come in... I live in a fringe area and I bearly get a decent signal sitting by the window. Tried every service provider, Verizon(CDMA), Cingular/AT&T(TDMA), T-Mobile(GSM1900)... same thing with all of them...

Strangely, Nextel is the only phone with a very strong signal here. My plumber once used his Nextel phone in my basement! Unfortunately, Nextel is not really an option for me for price/coverage reasons...

Any suggestion appreciated!!!

check out www.jdteck.com and www.cellantenna.com
they got stuff priced under $1000.
i personally just bought the repeater setup from jdteck from one of the users on HoFo, havent received it yet, so i cant give you any input on it - but i heard it works well.
