Thats not a solution lol. First make sure you have the right drivers installed. You can check to make sure you computer recognizes your LG in the Device Manager. If it is recognized, then lets move on.

Connect your phone to the cable, and the cable to the computer. Fire up BitPim, and go to Edit > Settings. Make sure that the phone selected is the VX 7000. After that click OK. Make sure that you are ONLY using the File System tab. Access this by going to View > File System. Then you can access your phones file system.

Let me know when you have this working.

qspt is better anywayz

*Much faster than bitpim.
*Can add files and directories.
*Much more stable.
*Can view the entire filesystem where as bitpim cut some out.
*Can use all features it has to offer.

I would think that is a matter of opinion.

First off, I appreciate the help.
F34R Device manager is reconizing as LG composite USB, connected phone in the way you suggested, but still get unexpected error. Now I have tried all releases like I mentioned before. Currently using 7.25. Is there a step I am missing. Phone settings or something. Thanks again.

BadBoy I appreciate the link and will try QPST if I can not get this to work.

Posted by: killawhale

Well I viewed files now what? I tried to overwrite them but can not seem to send data to phone without eror. Thanks again for the help.

Posted by: F34R

I dont think you have the correct drivers installed. The phone, from my experience, must read like the picture below.

Also, if you are having this error with BitPim, you will surely have problems with QPST as well. Try to find the correct drivers for the phone.

I can't get QSPT to recognize my 8000, and yeah I have the right drivers. Any thoughts?

Posted by: BadBoy5537

use this site to tell u how to install the drivers correctly

It does, but bad boy's website helped me out and let me tell you, this program has more bells and whistles than a chinese prosti... never mind. But take my word for it, it's very good.

Posted by: F34R

Sounds like you didnt have the correct drivers then.

Posted by: Kabifff

The drivers were right, but I didn't think to check the com ports.
Doot.

Posted by: killawhale

BadBoy thanks for the drivers they worked and phone now shows correctly. Now I get an error saying:
"phone is not responding while transioning mode from none to brew." Phone is on and everything seems to be working correctly.
What should I try next?
