Originally posted by CellMon I have looked at what seems to be almost all of the TM150 threads and did not see these questions: I recently gave up on some Motorola (horrid) and Nokia (great, but fragile) and bought the TM150. Since I gave up Bluetooth to get this phone, I expected a lot. Well, love the screen (holy cow) and the camera, and I am sold. But, since I am ne who wants to know: I wonder if Sharp took the existing GX30/GX32 design and just used it for the TM150, just customizing certain details for T-Mobile? The two units are identical in look and feel, just not features. Which begs this: does the Bluetooth hardware and or/infrared hardware exist in the TM150, but are just disable and/or hidden? It would seem odd to have a modular design for the GX32 which allows certain "integrated" functions to be physically removed. It would be weird to see that the TM150 actually has some of the amenities (quad-band GSM, too) of the GX32, but they are just disabled in the specific phone firmware or something. It would be interesting to see if the physical electronics were actually in there, just "turned off". Anyone wanna take apart their TM150 and dig a little? Just kidding - unless someone has already done this. |
