910i and Bluetooth functions

I've finally got there - got rid of my P900 for a P910i! I found a function on the SE website for Bluetooth that talks about it having a "sniffing" function. Of course the manual says nothing.
Can anyone tell me what this does?
Also does the P910i, when you switch on a paired headset, switch Bluetooth on automatically? I know some of the Motorola phones ie V600 etc do?
Thanks

Does anybody know what this "sniffing" function is please? Still can find nothing about it.

the sniffing function allows you to scan the area using bluetooth to find out who has his bluetooth on and visible, clicking on the available devices that may appear on your screen allows you to see what available services they provide, e.g obex, push .serialport, e.c.t sometimes you can tell what brand phone it is. and yes the p910 automatically seeks and connects to the last paired headset it had previously had connected to.
