Are there any ebay cable/software packages that actually work?

Seems as if there are tons of them on there.

Looking to back up my phone up. As well as take the pics off the phone, download ring tones, etc...

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

I bought mine from a seller called Itrimming. Cost 65 cents plus 6.99 for shipping. Came with a driver cd and charges phone while plugged in. With BitPim and QPST it works great for backups, ringtones, moving pics and videos to and from phone.

I bought mine from DWOODz and it worked fine.

Note that most of the sellers actually include free software called BitPIM. You can probably do a search for it and you can find it. QPST is the other typical program they include. Unfortunately BitPIM doesn't fully support the VX8000 yet (but I'm sure it will), but it can download tunes (mp3's), and flix (.3gp movies, and others which I haven't tested). There's a lot of info on that in this forum.

I got mine from everydaysource on ebay for .69 cents plus $7 shipping. It works great, it charges the phone as well. With bitpim and winhex, life is good.

I also got mine from Itrimming. Works perfectly, and I didn't have to hunt for drivers.

OK so I feel I got taken... I paid 15.00 and 5.00 shipping, booooo. The drivers were on the disk as well as bitpim and 20,000 ringtones and 4,000 wallpapers. Oh well it works good though and as soon as bitpim supports the 8000 I'll be in heaven!
