2.On start, settings and Bluetooth my Audiovox SMT5600 have the option BT Setting and in start, configurations have BT Serial Port Setup( Inbound com port COM6 and Outbound com port COM7, in my MPx220 it does not have that options, ok, try to understand, i use mapopolis with a Holux Bluetooth GPS, On mapopolis the com port for the GPS is COM7 and works GREAT on the SMY5600 but when i try to configure mapopolis on the MPx220 it never find the GPS, what i do wrong? i know that the problem are the COMs but i don't know how to fix it. HELP!!!!

Hello Vijovame,

Regarding the date and time settings, I had the same problem on my firmware revision 0.326. Upgrading to 1.3 helped a little, it seems to remember the last time I manually turned off the cell phone. Of course, if I leave the phone on for days and it crashes, after rebooting it's a few days behind. I'm hoping Motorola is aware of this issue and will fix it in a future firmware revision. Having a little application to update the time over the network or the internet would also be nice. I don't want to have to pay $25 for a program that I would only use for that.

As for your bluetooth problems, I can't help you, as I never used BT. Oh and by the way, your English is quite good, so don't worry about it.

Thanks Bro...

I upgrade my 220 today and see that the camera is good now but the time is with the same problem, i don't know why, the 220 has a battery behind the brand(cingular or whatever), may be its a backup battery, thank you for your response.

You are going to need a registry edit for that. The program on the SMT 5600 that sets lets you set up the COM ports is not on the MPx 220. But it can be set up in the registry. I will try to figure it out for you and post back later.

NOTE: If you have no experience with the registry I suggest you leave it alone, if you make one mistake you will have to Hard rest your phone to get back the orginal settings so please don't hose your phone!

EDIT: As to the Date and Time problem, I am not having it. I remove my battery all the time and the settings stay set. there is a CMOS battery that keeps power to the phones memory. If you settings are not being kept then that battery is dead or is not connected properly. I would take it to Motorola or send it to them to get it fixed.

Well thats good but you still have to update it in the registry. The program is useless unless the registry is set up for it. You need to search for this key and there maybe more than one. Also could you send me the file you sent to your phone? Maybe I can figure it out from there. PM me and I will give you my email address or you can post here on the forum if the file is not to big.
