I did a search and couldnt find anything so here goes.

I've had this phone for about 6 months and it works great all the time except that it's **** near impossible to hear people on it. I've got the volume maxed and i've played with having smart sound on and off.

The ringer is very load and I know other people can hear me fine, but if I'm not in a nearly silent area I can barely hear anything. And it's not that I can't hear, all my friends that have used the phone have also commented on this.

Is this a known issue? If so is there a work around or solution? If not am missing some setting or is my phone not working properly?

Thanks for any help

I'd give kyocera a call and they'll tell you what to do.

That's odd... The KE424C is known for having an extremely loud earpiece. It's so loud, that in a quiet room, it almost acts like a speakerphone.

I know mine is, and I have to turn down the volume on most calls, because people talk so loud, it hurts my ear, or people around me can hear what the guy on the phone is saying to me.

There's more than likely something wrong with your phone's hardware.
