I seriously need help on this. Has anyone tried using the mpx as a modem?I am trying to set mine up with my sbc yahoo, but I cant get it to work. It starts to dial the number, but doesnt connect. Help me please!

Ok so you are trying to use a dial up connection on your phone then theather it to your computer so your computer uses the dial up connection from SBC Yahoo that you set up on your phone?? If that is what you need help with let me know I think I can help.

Go here to see how to teather the MPx 220 via USB cable to your computer. This set up uses Cingular GPRS data access and lets you create a dial up connection on your computer to the Cingular GPRS network.

I cant get it to work under your settings. I keep getting error 692, there was a hardware failure in the modem. I used the settings you provided, and I just dont get it. Help!

Did you set up the correct modem intialization string in Device Manager on your computer?

Did you enable the modem on the phone?
Start, Acessories, Modem Link, Menu, Activate?

If this is correct try a different USB port. Make sure that the dial up networking settings on your computer are correct.
