Help With Data Cable and VX6000

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

I got my data cable today and wheni go to the part where I go to the My Computer Properties and into the Device Manager and then click on the "+" next to Modems, the option to choose VX6000 is not there, the only choice is LG CDMA USB Modem. I went completely through with the rest of the tutorial but when I went in BitPim to Get Phone Data, it read my phone as a VX4400. Please Help!

This IS your phone. It's not recognizing the "name" of the phone, but rather the data cable and software ("LG" is the manf. and "CDMA" is the capability of the phone). As for BitPim, did you choose the correct model from the drop-down list? HTH

Ok in bitpim go to settings and select vx6000 as you phone. Then for COM port find the one that has LG in the name and select it. Like this:

Thank you both very much for the help> Turned out the problem was that the disc that came with my cable didn't have the newest BitPim installed.
