My 8910 Hurts My Head! Help!!!

I recently got an Audiovox CDM 8910 phone and have been trying to sms ringtones to it. I was able to save a couple of them to media but now when I access tones in the media gallery it only shows one tone and DOWNLOAD at the top and freezes. I can only exit to main screen. When I hit MENU or PAUSE nothing happens. Same thing happens when I select Ringer Type and hit <- or ->. How can I get rid of this file? I think its either a midi or mp3. I was never able to get a ringtone I messaged to work.
I have Verizon. I'm new to all this and my head hurts!!!

You may have to wait a coupple of seconds when you switch to download since it has to like go into its memory to get the phone. I know when I had the phone I though it froze but it did that when I switched to downloaded ringtones that weren't bought.

I shut it down after about ten minutes of that Big Musical Note icon. Could it be that the tone I sent was too large? If so how can I get rid of this so I can access other tones?

My question then, is how do you send yourself a ringtone in the SMS thingy? That could be handy, as well can i rip some song (ie can i rip Hotel California) then send it to my phone after i cut it to only the first bit or some bs...???

I feel like i was reading one of the post saying something about that being a bug and the only way to get rid of it is with a data cable and bitpim. If it still dosen't work go into the Verizon store and sorta just play dumb and say the music you bought dosen't work because if you say you got it for free they will say that you voided your warantee. Stupid, yes.
