8900 Phonebook Transfer using Bitpim

Hi,
My original phone broke and Verizon had to send me a new one and I want to transfer over my phonebook. Could someone please tell me how to transfer this over using Bitpim. I've tried using the PC Sync and can't get it to work. Any help would be muchly appreciated!!! Thanks.
