If I exchange my MPx220, will I get a locked one?

The headphone jack on my phone started acting funky on me so at some point I might have to exchange it through Cingular. Whenever I take out my motorola headset, the phone will still be stuck in headset mode (no audio) until I knock on it for a bit. At some point it will return to normal but it's getting quite annoying. I've been reading around this forum and about MPx220 being locked, so that's what I'm wondering. Will Cingular send me a locked version?

I'm checking my phone right now.... Last week I sent back my mpx220 for a charging issue and I got another one through xbm. I just took my wifes V600 at&t sim out and put it in my Cingular mpx220. And the verdict is: It is UNLOCKED!! That was Monday of last week when I contacted them and I got it on Tuesday. Hope this helps.
