Hey everyone....first off, I have to admit that I am not up to snuff on all the latest gear, so I thought I would ask you experts. Here is the deal....I have always been a big fan of Motorola, seeing as how they are tanks, and have never let me down. I have had about 5 different Motos over the years, and currently have a V60g with the b/w screen. The wifey needs a newer phone, so I think I will pass mine on to her and grab a newer one for myself. She only uses hers to call me and remind me to pick up milk!!! (Stay single, guys!!) haha
My question is this.....I have been keeping an eye out for a V300 or even a T720 in the buy/sell forum, but haven't had much luck. Do you guys recommend any other brands that are similar in size and weight to these phones with some cool features? I don't need bluetooth, or any of that crazy techno funky stuff on it.....perhaps a camera would be nice, but not a necessity. I DO need good reception though. Nothing drives me crazier than a phone that is constantly breaking up and dropping out. Like I said, I don't want to dump a boatload of cash down, as I only use it to make basic calls and send the odd text message, and don't need it for games, watching tv, shave or whatever else you can do these days with these things. $100 bux or less would be ideal, and I really need a flip, or a clamshell..whatever they are called these days...I always refer to them as a flip phone. I am old.
Anyways...any help would be appreciated.
Thanks....Paul

What provider are you with? You could try using their upgrade program if you're willing to sign a contract. If you're married you're probably pretty well settled and won't switch providers at the drop of a hat...

Ha....good one. I am with Rogers, and have been for a loooong time. My original phone number with them was "7". (Jokes.)
I am not interested in an upgrade. Just want to grab another phone so I am not on the hook for another two years.
