Unlocking/Flashing A k700i

After placing an order for a dss-25 today i am now considering unlocking and upgrading the firmware of my k700i i recieved yesterday.
Is it true i cam only recieve the R2L off the SE website and not the latest software?
If i use Davinci to unlock my fone and then flash it how many credits do i need?
Also will it cost anymore to debrand the fone (orange)? I'm also fairly new to using this remote unlocking stuff so bare with me.
