FAQ: How to take pictures with v300 flip closed.

Hello,

After having to use p2kmenu to fix a problem in my main menu, I found something that i've been searching for a long time, how to take a picture on my v300 with the flip closed.

You will need p2kmenu (http://max.h15.ru/programs.htm)

1) click on "phone key mapping" -> "Open seem" -> "Read from Phone"

2) In the image of the phone, click on the smart key at the left side.

3) You will need to select a new action value for it, select "Joystick: Fire (Middle Button)"

4) Save seem to phone

5) Thats it, now if you want to take a picture with the flip closed, you must open the camera and set it to take a picture in X seconds, then close the flip and press the voice key(the one at the right side of your phone)

6) Point to where you want to take the picture from and press the smart key button, it will take the picture and display its name in the outter lcd, press the smart button again and it will give the options you can do with the picture, use the volume keys to select the option to store the image, and press the smart key button again.

7) If you want to take another picture just repeat step 6

you still have to open the flip, twice!!!

no, you dont, you only have to open it in step 5.

It worked out, thanx alot... But I found a way that you don't have to open your phone at all...
You should put your camera funtion to the first place in the list if you're not using icons in your menu. If you're using icons then you should put it on the fifth place in your menu( So it's in the middle of your menu. Now you only have to press twice the button when it's closed an you will be able to take a picture...

Hopes this makes sense to you all, cause my English isn's top-rated

one problem i found with this (isnt really a problem just different from the norm)

when you go to change from loud to vibrate or something it makes it a list so you have to scroll up and down with the volume key not just tap the soft key a few times

anyone else have that happen? kind of annoying because i am not used to it.

Beceause it seems more logical to me.

But there is another little problem, if you push the smart button first, you can not access to the style menu unless open the flip and exit the menu (It opens the menu you know).

Good job! I noticed on my v600 that after having not done any seem editing, or key re-mapping i can do the same function. Auto timed picture-->close flip-->press smart key-->voila!!! I'm not sure if the same would apply to the v300 though.

Actually with keymapping, you do not have to use auto-timed picture, even you do not have to open flip to shoot, just click to smart button twice, it will be ready to shoot, then click again, it tooks a pic
