OK all you smart people out there..i KNOW some1 has figures out to put apps and games on the slider...I have like 50+ games and apps in .Jad and .Jar Format...how do i put them on the phone smart people??

Posted by: thatkoreanguy

no. no one has figured it out. no one will figure it out for a long time if it's even possible. BREW 2.0 has not been cracked and has been out for 2+ years. you should try being smart like us and see that there is a search button at the top instead of starting unnecessary new threads.

Posted by: Kealvan

NOT totally related to this thread but what are the games that come on the slider?
Mine has Tetris, Race 21, and Brick Attack.

Posted by: thatkoreanguy

it depends on your carrier. verizon phones don't come with any games. you have to buy/rent them through get **** now. it looks like tetris comes on lots of sliders but some of the other games are mixed and matched to each carrier.

Posted by: AgeNt B

If you have a verizon slider, than it's possible to put games on it. You just put them into the get it now folder

Posted by: Kealvan

Why couldn't people with the same carrier just copy games from one phone to the next with btipim? Seems to me all you would have to do is copy all the game files from one to the other.

Posted by: rasauq

all those games are actually on every slider
there is a setting which turns them on and off in kwpst

Posted by: thatkoreanguy

they are not on every slider. I've gone through all the data and have yet to find game data. they have to be downloaded and that's why verizon's get it now has a manage applications option so you can see how much data each one you download has taken up. and no you can't just move games and have them work. the games have some security feature where it has to be registered in some way for it to work which is why people who buy games on a monthly basis(like tetris from verizon) can't just extend their subscription by changing settings using a data cable. so no you can't get games for free. no you can't have someone else "get it now" and transfer it for free. no you can't just "turn it on". doing any of that will require cracking BREW 2.0. if you've done anyone of the stuff that I said you can't do, PROVE IT. I'd like to see screen shots of where the settings are, where the games are, pictures of you accessing the games, pictures of you playing the games.

Posted by: Kealvan

actually the games I mentioned come preprogramed into the phone from kyocera and can be turned on with pst I am not at home so I cant exactly explain how to do it but on one of the screens it askes if you want to activate kwpst games change it from false to true and they will be there. I didn't have to do this but a friend of mine had the same phone on verizon and he did and it worked for him. The games will show up under the fun and games menu not in your get it know folder or anything like that.

Posted by: Polaris911

wow koreanguy.. what the hell makes you think you're right? he could very well be correct.. though i too would like to see some evidence or a tutorial on how to do it.

Posted by: cidknee

sorry to burst your bubble but they DO come on the phone from the factory. All the games are on it. They really are. Once verizon orders them Kyocera puts whatever software package verizon gives them to put on. So if verizon says no games they " turn it off" on the phone. Now to dispute this u must have used KPST and didnt know that.Have you? its not cracking brew when you have the manufactures tools to input like they do in the factory, now u are gonna say " but brew 2.0 isnt cracked" right it isnt. So the ? is how does the factory put the games on in the first place? answer.....kpst.

Posted by: thatkoreanguy

hey, I'm saying that they don't come with it on the slider because I've been chatting on this forum for quite some time and people much smarter than you or I with much more experience with sliders have stated these as true. one guy who PM'd me who is an electrical engineer who's had his slider for almost a year said he was trying to load games on from a website that hosted different games and from a slider which had bought games. he PM'd me later saying he had tried and tried but wasn't able to. maybe he's a bad electrical engineer but if he can't do it, what's a psych and commuications double major gonna do? I have yet to see a single forum where someone said "hey guys, I figured out how to unlock games on the slider. here's how" all I've seen for the past few months is post after post about how this not possible, no one has been able to set it up, and people failing in their attempts to try. it's not like I don't want games on my slider, hell, that'd be awesome. but for as long as I've posted and searched the forum, I have yet to find someone proving that you can activate or get free games. prove me wrong. help me get games on my phone.

I'm telling you you can turn on the standard games with PST. just like I said change the setting on kwpst games from false to true.
you wount be able to download free games but you will get the games that are standard with the phone. i.e. Tetris Race 21 Brick Attack. If you have PST try finding it otherwise when I get home today I will go through and find the actual tab it is under I think its Data but I am not sure and I will do a walk through.

this id true, u cannot ADD new downloaded games but you can turn on and off the built in games. Ive known engineers who could build you anything you want, but yet they cant understand how to tie thier shoes. They wear velcro. And im serious. Just because someone has a high paying job doesnt make them smart. The games are already on the phone. No hacking or breaking of anything required, just use KWPST and hook up your phone and guess what, u can turn them on and off. NOT downladed games but tetris and a few others that come on the phone. Rasaq and Kealvan are right.
Trust me.

the program you use is KWPST.... Kyocera Wireless Phone Service Tool.
Hard to get but some people have used it and yes it does work.

Posted by: Kealvan

I use version 3.6.65 it's to big to post on here or I would for you.

Posted by: AgeNt B

can you e-mail it to me?

Posted by: Polaris911

Sorry to be the idiot newbie, but could someone explain how
exactly this is done? Which PST program should I open and
where can I find this box to check off? Turning them on should
not take up additional memory right, since theyre already in
there? Thanks again.

Posted by: Kealvan

I am heading home in a few minutes when I get there I will do a walk through for you guys also I tried e-mailing the file out and it to big so if anyone know of a place I can use to host it let me know.

Posted by: Polaris911

Awesome, thank you. It shouldn't matter which version of PST I have right? I seem to have 3.5.123.. should I upgrade or should this be sufficient?

Posted by: slayr4932

so it is impossible for me to use these games...correct?

Posted by: robvs

i would like to see the outcome. I thought about it, and if you make a custom menu called "Tools and games" or "fun and games" the odds are you will be able to retreive those games. No alls we need to find out is how to make a custom menu like that.(i mean when you hit the ^ key)

Posted by: DeadEnd2005

The option is in the KWPST. BUT the games themselves are NOT in the VERIZON WIRELESS Slider... If you have a VZW Slider and have unlocked the games, then PLEASE take a photo of your VZW Slider SHOWING US..

I know the games are in other carrier's phones, Like Virgin Mobile, Cricket, etc.. But not in VZW.

Here is a screen shot of the KWPST showing were the option is, if anyone doesn't yet.

Posted by: Kealvan

actualy the games are there the fun and games menu is not there on the Verizon slider. The games are part of the phones programing and can not be removed by the service provider only disabled.IN Verizons case as gready as they are the just disabled the whole folder and created a knew one making it so you can't just turn the games on. On other kyocera phones where the games are located in different menus this still works for Verizon if you guys can figure out how to get your menu options back to the standard set this will work for you as well.
