bitpim won't read usb for lg 6000

I read the tutorial and yet it still doesn't
see the usb port I have the phone plugged in with. I bought the cable on ebay and it came with no software.

Before your computer will read the datacable and the phone you will need to download the right driver for the cable.
If your cable (whether you know or not) is a futuredial #19 cable here is the link for the drivers for that phone. http://members.driverguide.com/list...1661/index.html
