Looking for a Push E Mail solution for your P series phone?

Check out Smartner Duality software (available as a FREE download) form the SE site.

If you use MS Exchange Server for your e mail it works flawlessly.

On the page where it says
"Try Ericsson Mobile Organizer 5.0 - for free!" You have 2 versions to choose from:
Notes/Domino version or
Outlook/Exchange version

Cheers!

When I try installing Smartner, I get an error in "preparing Wizard, Please ensure that your PC is set up for using mail before attempting a new installation"

I am using Microsoft Office Outlook. Can someone help me please?

I still think BB is better in terms of email. Especially when your work is rely on emailing...

Okay gentelmen... it appears that the previous link from Sony Ericsson only refers to the MS Exchange and Domino/Lotus Notes version of the software... for the rest of us using Microsoft Outlook or any other POP/IMAP Email client, you have to download the INTERNET BASED VERSION ...
follow the steps on the link to set it up ....

I hope this helps....

I got it to work in less than 5 minutes.... I am quite impressed....

if you only need push mail, this is suffice.

BB comes with other features like remote address lookup and calendar push.

Same problem here, gonna try the web base version now, thanks Kingamir45

Update: Think I need full internet plan to make it work, I have WAP only plan, anyone can confirme this.

I have made some progress now. I just have a problem when it's asking me for the email address I would like to use. Since I live in Canada my address ends in ....... @shaw.ca. I don't think it likes Canadian servers:

Mail Server Information Please select you mail service from the drop down menu. If your mail provider is not listed, just select Other and type in the mail server address.
You can get the mail server address from your email service provider. See help pages for more information.

Mail service: Other

Server address:: shawmail

After I click 'next', it gives me an error message.

Is there anyone who can help me?

If your company is using exchange or lotus notes, the yes.

I have used mine with Exchange. The one you need is professional version not the internet version.

Bascially you need to install smartner on the pc at work and let it run for 24/7. The smartner software in your pc will monitor your inbox. When new email arrives, the software will forward it to your phone, where you install the other part of the software.
