HELP, P900 went swimming !!!

My P900 just took a dunk in a lake. I immediately pulled the battery out. SIM card, too.

Any other thoughts on what I might be able to do to save it?

Okay, here's what happened...

I live in Minnesota, USA where it gets to be darn cold and the lakes freeze over. Being that it's spring now the ice is receding.

My dog, being the feisty ***** she is, decided to make a dash for it across the ice and I chased her. That was not a wise choice.

To make a long story eternal I fell through the ice with my P900 in my pocket. Luckily I caught it before it floated away. Even luckier I got out of the water before hypothermia set in.

Of course my P900 wouldn't turn on after the dip we took. I then found sdsviet's tutorial on dissambling these puppies and I immediately pulled her apart and hit her with a good dose of canned air. A short while later she fired right up – back in business.

Since it's in pieces I decided to buy a new housing – red to be exact. I'll post some pics when I get it reassembled if anyone is interested.

Gosh, were it not for HoFo I'd be BuFu'ed.
