Motospeak has announced that v3, which looks like the best version to date, will be released this weekend to subscribers and shortly after to non-subscribers. Just keeping you all posted.

from the looks of the screen shots it looks like a good program. i could never get the time to display for me using the v2. but i might subscribe to check it out. hey its only money....ill make more

the best part about v3 is the palletes. instead of the simple recent calls list you can customize the external lcd aswell as having wallpapers on the external lcd screen. it looks interesting hopefully it isnt too complicated. i hope it can be able to hold more than 3 or 4 pictures this time around because rumor had it that if you use more than 4 wallpapers on the v2 extwall app than your phone would die out within 5 minutes, but it wasnt curious into trying it and finding out for myself. o wellz.

i have used no more then 5 wallpapers with no problem. In regards to the v3......the mac osx pallettes is what i am excited about !!!!!!

When it comes out for subscribers, will it be available to us too by one of the subscribers puting it up for download somewhere or will the rest of us still have to wait?

From what I've read it's supposed to be issued in licenses which means it can only be applied to intended phones.

Hey, my local cell phone moding store in the galleria got bought out but this new owner is tight. I hooked him up with a few things and he hooks me up like crazy. Yesterday he told me he can do a lot of things with just the usb cable and he mentioned sumthing bout the outside screen (external) for the 860 and i said oh i know the external wallpaper app and he said no this is 10 times better it will let you chose colors and stuff. So im going to go by today see if he will do it for me also he told me he does custom LED mods so FINALY someone in Glendale, CA to do LED mods.

only thing is you need to provide your LEDs.

well led mods are simple just download the stat light, that is the new version for the i730 just get rid of the status light. as for the wallpaper app, i am a member of motospeak and supposably the engineer of the 3.0 wall app is talkin about release on december 15th but i dont know if he is serious or not. hope not

where do you get that date from? its coming A LOT sooner than that, im an administrator at motospeak...

is this going to be like the first one where you have to deinstall it and re install everytime you want a different pic. I also read that it won't drain the battery as much is this true?

for v3 there is a loader...the app itself is empty, and images will be loaded to the phone, no more reinstalling the app

Whoa, new info! Ahaha. The proggy is going to be IMEI locked so no possibilities of sharing, so for all you leechers, you're out of luck. Also, a LOT of work and testing is going into this app to make it great, the first time, and not some buggy program that needs to be fixed.

well this guy is a moderator at motospeak so i would take his word for it. however it is impossible to make a perfect program. someone somewhere will have a complaint about it. plus all these geeks online will find a way to share the program, lock or no lock. the reason for these forums is to share information. but i guess shaun(v3 developer) has alot of pressure on him to release the **** thing already. its kinda messed up he would give a date and didnt come out with the **** thing. o well, who are we to complain, we arent putting out time and effort into it i guess.

haha this would be the wrong thread to complain in....2 motoSpeak mods and 2 admins. Dont worry Shaun is doing his best, and the program will be out soon, just gotta be patient

It was a tentative date, and as we all know, tentative dates don't hold up. Ever heard of the i930? Just give it time and you will see. He's having some issues and he's currently working on resolving them. Good things come to those who wait...

i like that i930 methaphor. but still it blows to have been expecting something on a certain date and not recieved. all credited dued to shaun becuz none of us will devote time or effort into a program but its like your parents promising you a bike on christmas and they tell you santa didnt come.
