Kyocera ke414 with minlock - how to unlock it?

I have a Kyocera ke414 that is locked, only accepts certains mins. My mobile company said that is subsidy locked.

What do I need to unlock it ?

Software ? Firmware images ?
Cable - I read many posts with pinouts and don't understand clearly how to connect it to the computer. It's a direct connection, or do I need an interface circuit ?
