SoHo and its alarm clock

Has anyone run into this before? Kyocera verified that this is the case, but it seems very strange.
The alarm on the Soho only works if you program it for the very same day. In other words, if today is the 25th, and you want to set the alarm to wake you up on the 26th, the alarm will not work. Kyocera stated that this is the waay the alarm works and if you needed to schedule an alarm of some kind for the enxt day or after, to use a scheduler and enable its notify ringer.
Now, doesn't this defeat the purpose of the alarm?? what good is it if you have to wake up after midnight to set your alarm for 6am??

I noticed odd alarm behavior on the Koi, which uses similar software. Regardless of what Kyocera says, there's a but there somewhere. First of all, the alarm is supposed to work for the next day, otherwise it is a useless feature. Second, if it becomes enabled and the alarm symbol does not disappear at the end of the day, then somewhere in software the phone thinks that the alarm is enabled. Then why doesn't it ring? This is kind of circular, but since the feature used to work correctly in previous models, I'm tempted to think that they simply broke it and don't care to fix it.

I agree with ya. Sounds like the typical software issues that has plagued most Kyocera phones, whether its this, or the problem of selecting a menu item, etc...
Oh well, guess we'll have to wait and see.
thanks!
