6230 Firmware 5.24 (or 5.35) better than 4.43??

I'm considering sending my Cingular branded 6230b to Chippery9 for flashing to the latest firmware, but was wondering what are the benefits to doing so?

Also what is the deal with losing use of ESN info? What does the ESN info do?

Thanks from a noob!

All versions after 4.43 have serious improvements from those before. For one thing, screensaver/backlight issues were tightened up quite a bit.

ENS is the ability of a phone to choose stronger towers over weaker ones.

If you get your phone flashed with Cingular customized 5.35 will not result in the loss of this feature.

I don't know about others, but we have flashed this successfully.

What's your cost and turnaround time for the 6230b?

Please see our website at www.iunlock.com for full details of the costs. Our turnaround time is 24 hours or less. Phones are shipped back the day they arrive or the next business day at the latest!
