I looked this up a while ago and I think I found a post about how to get up to 50 ringtones on the Slider.
Does anyone know where this post is and if that method even works anymore?

I never tried putting more than 10 ringtones on because of the superstition that it would cause an error...
I would like to put a bunch of MIDI ones on there. Anyone know how to get the phone to support more than than 10? Thanks

midi's are relatively small, I don't think you should have a problem putting a large amount on your phone.

Yes, I have no doubt I can fit lots of MIDI's on there. But I
thought that the phone only has a set 10 slots for ringtones,
regardless of how much or little space they take up.

Anyone know what these .mmf files are? Can they be converted to MIDI?

nope. .mms and .mmf files don't work on sliders. i got a bunch of them from a friend who's phone can take them and they don't work on the slider. they tend to take up the same amount of space as an mp3 anyways. so there's no difference.

and I haven't tried loading more than 10 ringtones...I'll try later I guess.

Yours can only hold 10??????????? Mine holds 20 GIN ringtones.

What is an mmf file anyway? Is it streaming audio or more like midi? I wonder if it can be converted because I too have a bunch of them that came with a cd for my data cable.

My phone can probably hold more than 10 I havent looked yet.. its still busted haha. What does GIN stand for? Are you sure you cant go more than 20?

GIN means Get It Now. Yes my slider too can hold up to 20 GIN ringers and about 4 or 5 with a data cable.

I fit 10 mp3 ringtones on with a data cable. Can I fit 10 + 20 from GIN? Do I have to get the 20 GIN through GIN, as in pay for them? Ain't no way im doin that

The only reason im wondering about all this is becuase I want to put a bunch of midi ringers on there and i know they take up squat for space.

Oh yeah, you can put 20 MIDIS on your phone. Just be careful with MP3's or you'll fry your phone.

Yeah I learned that the hard way.
Do you think I can put up to 20 midis *and* up to 10 mp3's on there at once (assuming I have the memory space), for a total of 30? Thanks again.

uh...you only really need one ringtone. I think anymore than 10 is pushing it. I don't think you'll need 10 ringtones in a day. if you really want to switch them around so much, just load some more at the end of the day with your data cable.
