s700i on o2 online delays again

HI

I was just wondering if anybody has had the same problems as me with getting a Sony s700i on o2 online.

My 12mth contract ended on 5th March 2005, I rang up every day after then only to be told the s700 was out of stock and to ring back later in the week.

on 19th March I was finally told the phone was instock however as I was an existing customer the price of the phone was to be over £250 (which made me quite angry

) so after a call to the cancellations line and the threat of moving contracts I was offered it for £79.99 with delivery in 7-10 days.

All's well I thought until I started reading here that it wasnt just me who was having the problem many more people were, so I rang again to confirm my order only to be told it was out of stock again and wouldnt be back in stock till 31st march

I rang back again on the 31st to be told the order had been cancelled for software problems with no way of knowing when they would be back in stock.

Today was my final day of ringing, again they have no idea, and to ring back in 2weeks,

ARRRRGGHHHHHHHHHH

this has been the most frustrating phone upgrade I ever had, the phone is great and so is o2's online tariff, so I dont want to go with orange or voda as my friends are all o2.

should I wait for o2 or try elsewhere?

will o2 discontinue the phone because of all the problems?

If anyone can help with this or more people complain to o2 hopefully something could be sorted
