I download the BitPim latest version from BitPim Site and install it under WINXP. But I can't open it. Try to run it by double click on it, it won't show up.
Delete it and re-install it. The same outcome. Any help?
My cellphone is LG VX 3200

scan your computer with the latest updates for virii and spyware.

I use winxp and installed bitpm just fine. I installed .29 ver and use it with my vx8000. You must have some spyware or some virus stopping the file from opening.

Make sure Windows is updated as well. Let us know if the scans show anything.

Are you waiting long enough for it to load? Mine can take up to a minute before start screen appears. Just a thought...

After installation, I double click on it . I can see the pointer of mouse running (busy status) for a couple of seconds then stop and no bitpim showup.

make sure your windows is updated .. But dont install sp2 if you have un-install it and get any other updatesss that are available . After all this re-install program and it should work fine . If that doesnt help goto start >control panel > system > Hardware > device Manager . See if all your drivers are installed for your machine . If this is corrct your windows installation is corrupt and you need to format and re-install windows.

try downloading from a different mirror on the bitpim site maybe something is wrong with the .exe file that you have.

Yeah since you started to try and use the bitpim a new version has come out.. Why not uninstall all components of the old installation. and d/l the new version .30 Remember go to the program files directory and delete the bitpim directory too.

I had a similar problem once with a program. My virus detection didn't find anything. But I went to Symantec.com and there are viruses that protection programs cannot detect. Go to http://securityresponse.symantec.co...tools.list.html and look through the list. If you find one that sounds like what you are having problems with, follow the instructions on how to get rid of it. Or, you could try their online virus dector at http://www.symantec.com/techsupp/ac...virus_check.jsp I would have to say it sounds like you DEFINITELY have a virus of some kind.
